History:
Don Bosco Barapahari came into existence on 15 August 1989 with the pioneering efforts of Fr. John Vaikath. Located in the diocese of Dumka, it comprises of a parish and a boarding for boys and girls. MSMHC Sisters are the closest collaborators looking after the girls' Boarding. The children attend the nearby government Primary School up to class 4.
Today:
Pastoral care of the people with a hostel for primary children (120 boys) and village development activities through village committees are the major works carried out.
