History:
Situated at the foot of the Himalayan hills is Mirik, a fast developing tourist centre in the district of Darjeeling. Contact with Mirik was established in 1974 by Fr.L. Jellici. At the request of Bishop Eric of Darjeeling, the Salesians bought a piece of land in September 1980. The foundation stone of the Don Bosco building was blessed by Fr. Thomas Panakezham on 15 April 1982. Non-formal coaching classes were begun for school dropouts. This non-formal school gradually started following the Madhyamik syllabus. A boarding was then started to accommodate the poor boys from the far off villages to make available to them the opportunity of studying in the school and to nurture Salesian vocations. A beautiful parish church was built by Fr. Jellici in 1995. In the year 2000 the house was canonically erected.

The School is a co-educational English medium school from class 5 to 10 following the Madhyamic syllabus. Presently the strength of the school is over 200 students. Government recognition, without financial support, was awarded to the school in April 2005.

The hostel is meant for the boys of the tea garden. Currently there are 12 boys there.

The Parish has 10 substations and a flourishing community under its care.
