PLAN OF ACTION
Provincial level:
1.To make a survey of the YAR (Youth at Risk) situation regionwise ( Kolkata-Howrah, Nadia, Murshidabad, North Bengal) which will help us approach our apostolate for the YAR in a much more scientific way. The survey could be done through some experts in this line.
2.In our work for Youth at risk, seek a joint meeting and move towards possible collaboration with the FMAs.
3.To initiate a meeting / get-together of the various NGOs working for the Youth at Risk in view of promoting net-working and collaboration.
4.To produce a documentary on YAR situation regionwise to create awareness and evoke suitable response.
5.To bring out a Bengali handbook on effective education and management of the Young at Risk, to help in our dealing with them.
6.To initiate and provide live-in experience of working for the Young at Risk for a considerable period of time for our confreres in formation during their formative years in order to evoke enthusiasm and interest in working for YAR.
7.To provide continuous formation in the Preventive System for our lay collaborators with the help of the HRM wing of the Youth Services.
8.To provide continuous formation programmes for the Yough at Risk (boys and girls) attached to our various centers, on Emotional Maturity, Sex Education, Hiv-aids and other relevant topics with the help of the HRM cell of the Youth Services.
9.To set up and streamline into 4 zones of local day to day administration and management of all our various centers of YAR regionwise and to establish a centralized office in the YAR set up itself for Finace Generation, control, networking, general supervision and inspection of all centers.
Local level:
1.Every local community will initiate programmes for Youth at risk in the context of their locality, moving out into the neighbourhood itself with various initiatives for health and hygiene, medical assistance, contact classes etc. in addition to whatever services are being done within the local setting so far.
2.To take greater interest and wider participation of all confreres, in the existing neighbourhood apostolate that is being undertaken by each local community.
3.To enhance the quality of our service for the Young at Risk in each of our YAR sub centers through better organized Salesian presence and quality supervision by the lay collaborators.
